I am an Associate Professor in Statistics
at the Department of Economics,
University of Verona.
I performed both my undergraduate and graduate studies at the Department of Statistical Sciences, University of Padova. Specifically, I obtained a BSc in Statistics, Economics and Finance in 2011 and a MSc in Statistical Sciences in 2013. During my doctoral period, I spent one year as a visitor at the Department of Statistical Science, University College London. In 2017 I was awarded a PhD in Statistical Sciences with a thesis titled “Reducing the Impact of Bias in Likelihood Inference for Prominent Model Settings”. Later I held a position as a Research Fellow at the Department of Statistical Sciences, University of Padova, until January 2019, when I joined the University of Bozen for another year of postdoctoral fellowship. I visited the Department of Statistical Sciences at the University of Toronto for two months, collaborating with Prof. Nancy Reid. In March 2020 I was appointed junior assistant professor in statistics at the University of Bolzano, then I moved to the University of Verona in October 2021 to begin as an assistant professor in the Department of Economics, where my current position started in March 2025.
